Hey guys, I'm planning to look at a use 1993 BMW 318i, with 180,000 miles. for $1000. What kind of things, wear and tear, should i look out for? Any know problems with these cars?
with that kind of mileage you could run into anything being wrong. It all depends on the maintiance that has been done to the car todate. If the owner can not provide maintiance records I would stay away from it and find one with lower mileage. But if there are maintiance records ect ect then nothing to really be worried about besides the usual rubber seals that go with age and the usual replacement parts like brakes, struts, ect.

my previous cars were civics, and they're known to last over 200k miles, but i'm not sure with BMW's engine.
