My 94 Opel 140S is going to my sister next year, so I need to get myself a car.
I'm looking at second hand 3 series cars. I want either 325i or 328i. What do you guys recommend?? I will want to do some performance modding too so which would be better for this? Any other recommendations for a not-too-high price??? Thanks guys.
The 325 is easier to mod as it is OBDI. The 328 is OBDII but can be converted to OBDI and then be modded pretty easily as well. If you wanted to do some serious modding, then get a 92 non-VANOS 325. The engine can be bored to 3.0L and use m3 internals.

Unless you want to sell your soul to buy the necessary time
and money to perform these upgrades I would go with the 328i.
190hp is a big step up from the stock 325 output... which i
believe is about 170hp. Also, last time I checked you could modify
an OBDII car with a piggyback computer or new chip.

nope... the stock 325 horse is like 184 or around there.... BUT the 328 has more low end torque....
didnt see your post el prez
anyway:
the 93 325 gets up to 205 horsepower and 205 ft lbs of torque with just a Jim conforti chip.
+CAI will get you to 215 and + catback 220
+headers 240
328 is probably the one i'm gona go for. Dam nice car. Only thing I hav against BM's is that its more difficult for sound with a boot. My Opel is a hatchback. Any of u guys got a sub runnin nicely?? Also, any mojor differences From the 1995 - 1998 models??

95 = obd1 (on board diagnostic 1)
easier to get power from while modding
