Range

It's when you take long trips so you can keep track of calculations of your fuel usage/miles you've traveled/average speed..things like that..

Kinda of a waste of time if you ask me!!

just experiment with it, you wont hurt anything by pushing the buttons to see what they do. but like ski said, it keeps track and calculates a bunch of interesting stuff, but it really isnt that useful. though its still cool to have imo.
