Sorry, I dunno anything about them, but am curious. Are you getting a really good deal on one or something, there are lots of really decent exhaust packages out there.
I checked out their website. Stuff looks pretty good. If I were you I would want it to know what it sounded like before buying though. The UUC is pretty subdued, others are more aggressive. My Borla makes a lot of noise when called upon otherwise it is not that noticeable. Here's a soundclip of my Borla with your engine (M52 2.8L).... {HERE}
The guy I'm buying from said this in an email correspondence...
"I downloaded the B&B sound clip and the first thing that came to my mind was that it had a very ricey sound up top. The Brullen is very deep and when you get on it it isnt nearly as high pitched "ricey". I went with the Brullen because I wanted a different exhaust than everyone else. Last time I checked their site this exhaust was about 600 dollars. This exhaust isnt quiet, but it I wouldnt say it was very loud either. Basicly if you downshifted into second doing 40 next to someone theyd turn their head, but if ur rollin in 3rd or 4th it would sound nice and smooth. It just sounds damn good in my opinioin. So I guess what im tryin to say is its loud if you want it to be and it sounds smooth and deep when ur driving normally."
I sent him a sound clip of a B&B and he said it sounded way "ricier" than his which made me feel better.
I still would like some more advice before I pull the trigger tomorrow.
That is what I would want to hear as a BMW owner, I just hope he didn't tell you that becuause that is what you would want to hear as well. He pretty much described what my car sounds like.
brullen is quite simply an awesome sounding exhaust, personally i was thinking of getting one for my car in the future. on the straight 6 and even the v8s its got an amazing growl.
