Brakes Sticking Question

Quick Question i am hoping someone can answer for me!

My Breaks on my 1997 328i seem to be sticking when i come to a quick stop and then take off. What could be wrong? and how would it be fixed?

If your brakes are sticking, your brake calipers could be the cause. Signs to look for would be, overheated rotors, sometimes even smoke & a burning smell coming from the defective rotor.......If the the brake calipers are sticking, your rotors would start to warp & then cause a pulsation in the brake application........so I would start here.......if you find a sticking caliper, then it has to be replaced!

Is it an automatic transmission? Low fluid level will cause a hesitation accelerating after a hard stop. Might feel like the brakes are sticking.

Checking the level is not an easy task. Read last several paragraphs of this DIY for the procedure. If you attempt it yourself, car must be elevated, level, running. A good job for a shop with a lift. If it is low, find & repair the leak, trans fluid is not consumed, if low it is leaking.

Q: why do u say "sticking". what does it feel like?

If you feel though your brakes are binding... calipers as johnny sez is the issue here. and guess what. they are cheaper to replace than to repair

the exact thing it is doing is.

After driving for about 20 min. the situation seems to occur.

Will come to either a hard or sometimes slow stop and the car will almost feel like its jumping and want to go forward.when taking off from the stop it feels like the brakes are stuck and then they seem to let loose.anything before 20 min of driving or about 30 min of the car being off.nothing happens.????
