Hey Guys, I'm planning on replacing my brake rotors and pads on my 1995 325is. my questions are, do I need to replace the brake pads sensor too? and what type of brake pads should I use. Metallic, Semi-Metellic or ceramic? any suggestions? thanks in advance
Yes....replace the front & rear sensors...not worth trying to save, they become brittle on the pad side & fall apart....I went with the ceramics & I will never use anything else again!
Extremely low dust, no squeal @ all......I went with the Akebono Ceramics from bimmerzone.com for about $70 for front & $50 for rear.....
johnny,
Hey Johnny, a question about the pads you use: is the braking the same when you first start the car as when you've been driving for a while? I have another question, I order the TMS brake rotors from Turner Motorsport, did I make a good purchase?

Yes, the braking is the same, not so sure of what you are asking......if you mean from the time I initially installed the ceramics, yes, initially after replacement of any brake pads, the pads & rotors have a coating that will wear off & the pads will seat.......& yes, Turner Motorsport sells very good products.
Johnny, what do you think about that deal, I think it's just too good to be true : Front and rear Akebono ceramic brake pads with sensors as well as front and rear brembo rotors for under $300, that's just crazy
