Brake Light Circut

I keep getting the trouble" Brake Light Circut" on my car. After a while , 2 -3 hours it changes to "Brake light Failure". I have had the car to two service centers and have been assured it is fixed three times only to have"Brake Light Circut" come back on again.
Any ideas on what could be wrong???

your not alone! I have the same problem but have not had a chance to figure it out yet.

i had the SAME thing:
what i did:
went to autozone
got me self a couple of brake light bulbs
threw em in there
warnings stopped...


also the warning came on before one of my lights went out... but replacing them both fixed the problems

you may want to try and find some resistance in the circuit such as the metal on the taillights may need some cleaning with steel wool or something like that. I believe the brake light circuit warning is flashed because there is something in the circuit that is causing the bulbs not to get full power but they still will work. Just an annoyance for us. Then check the bulbs maybe change them, check the things that hold the bulbs in place and then if that doesn't work change the brake light switch.

Guys I had the same problem with the brake lights, so I went and changed both bulbs and got rid of it.

I have the same problem, and after inspecting it myself I found that the plastic in the taillight interior was worn away. This causes the plastic bulb holder to become loose and thus causes a bad or inconsistant connection. I would recommend fixing this however you can if your plastic is a little worn, the replacement part is the entire taillight section and runs $198 plus tax.

it only happens to me when it is moist out
