Its a switch under the steering wheel is what i have read. I dont think its a big deal to fix, like $20. Search the forum, becuase alot of other people have this problem.

That happened to me a while ago. I checked, and the lights worked normally. Everything LOOKED fine... but the fuse just needed replacing... I don't remember if it was getting a bit wobbly in it's old age? Anyways, what I DO remember is that it took about $10 or so to have the mechanic fix it.

Been there, done that. Most likely it's your brake switch.

The replacement can be 11.00 or 30.00. If you have cruise control, then you need the 4-prong one which is 30.00. The 2-prong one is the 11.00 one. Just replaced mine, haven't seen the message since.

easy to replace. takes about 10-20 min...

remove lower dash.

break old switch out.

push new one in.

put lowerdash back on

no more message as long as that was the problem and you hooked everything up.

Just did mine also, follow the diy EXACTLY...be patient and disconnect the wire harness from the switch before you tear it out, if you don't you could break some of the wires and turn a half hour job into a 2 and a half hour job....don't ask
