Brake Light Circuit

hey guys
I had the error brake light circuit come up and with some research I found out that that error is caused by the Brake Light Switch 90% of the time. My question is more about purchasing the piece. I read that it should only cost about $10 but on both realOEM.com (RealOEM.com * BMW E36 325i PEDALS-SUPPORTING BRACKET) and BAVauto.com the piece lists for about $40. I'm I looking at the wrong piece or is it just that much? Also, I'm assuming the 4 pin is for vehicles with check control and 2 pin is for those without.
