| "brake light circuit" So, I've read all the posts and threads on the "check" light on the dash and the OBC saying "brake light circuit"...and I've come up with the problem most likely being the actual brake light switch itself? (4-pin cuz I have cruise and traction control...makes sense)...Mine happened right after I changed all my brakes and a friend of mine said the same thing has now just come up after she had a mechanic change hers...could it be the fluid(pressing in the calipers to fully closed)to get the new pads to fit? Maybe the backflow hits the ABS sensors? I have not had this turn on now in about 2 weeks and it used to happen every day...i keep my fingers crossed and always look up at it now as a habit!! I also went very fast in reverse and hit the brakes (to set the star adjusters in the E brakes) and that seemed to give me more pedal. I digress...I can change that brake light switch if it happens one more time, but is the changing the brakes having anything to do with my friens light now coming on or is it just that simple ass 8$ part? |
