i really do not want take off the cat back, i live in CA, the smog wont pass!
NOW the muffler on my 93 318is is very quiet, cant hear anyhing, just like a corolla.
if i change to this one, will i feel any sound change?

hahaha hks and 5zigen make mufflers but u wouldnt want to put it on a bimmer! i would sound like a honda or something...if u used the same muffler as they do i guess... buy a simple cat back system, it doesnt mess w/ emmissions. the catalytic converter does that and that is what u cannot replace...if you want a louder sound and a little more power do that buy a cat back system. dont but a muffler off ebay.
i installed the muffler about 2 days ago, it sounds very loud, i didnt take the catback pipe off, still cool, i like it! if you a think change a muffler without change the cat back, go ahead, it wasnt bad!
