Looking at getting a borla exhaust off turner motorsports, anyone have one already? they seem to be priced reasonably. All opinions helpful. Or recommendations for other exhaust.
my buddy has borla exhaust on his LS1 cammaro... i don't really like the way it sounds.. it sounds like a gargling noise.. i would go with remus, if i had the money for it.. HEH!
the stuff on bavarian motorsports is all pretty good i think. i was more limited on exhaust choices because my car is a 4 cyl, but i got the scorpion exhaust from them and it sounds great. deeper tone at idle, gets less and less noticeable the faster i get, i also get compliments on the sound from all over the place.
about the uuc exhaust i have heard nothing but good things about them as well, they would be a good brand to look into.

I "think" I have one. I bought the car with the existing exhaust, and was told it was a Borla. The exhaust came off an ///M3, and personally I LOVE IT!!! If you PM skawful, he can shoot you an audio clip of what my car sounds like (I'm not great with uploading such things, so I emailed it to him, he should have it--I'm not at home or I would).
I had heard about borla and wanted to get one on my car but I asked a BMW specialist who had done lost of exhaust work on bimmers. He said a couple words "over-priced piece of crap" they aren't the best quality either. I have a magnaflow which is popular on e36's (great sound) and it has lifetime warranty, and is made significantly thicker than a borla. Borla's are expensive and don't sound all that great on bimmers if you ask me. mine wasn't cheap, but it was the exact sound I was looking for.

AMG can't build an NA engine that can compete with M engines, so they stick in a supercharger and say their cars are faster. BMW could simply do the same, but they don't out of principle.</span>
Yeah Les, I find it kinda funny all these people ripping Borla up. They are a great company that has been around for a long time. Someone said they use thinner metal, have you measured the two side by side? And if so where they both 6061 alluminum? There's a lot to be said for using a better qualtiy aluminum and making it thinner, as this can significantly reduce weight.
I don't mean to come off cocky, but opinions made on this board will affect one's buying decisions. Borla is a very good company that stands behind their product (1million mile warranty), and if I do indeed have one (man, I wish I knew) they sound amazing!
