These are 17"x7.5 with factory tire size 235/65 R17.
Do the rims look cool on E36, and WOULD THEY FIT? I have no information on bolt pattern/offset... But - a good deal for 300 bucks - I simply can't resist...
well the center bore of the E39 is 74, but i'm not sure about the X5. there really isnt a range of offset that will fit a certain car, it all depends on wheel width. i think the 17x7.5 E36 M3 wheels are et41, and if the X5 wheels are around 40 then they should fit depending on if it uses a 72.5mm center bore or not
Originally posted by carswellr@Oct 20 2003, 02:08 PM I have a X5 4.4. It has Michelin 255/55 R18 MXV4 tires all around. I now have a tack in one of them and it looks a little low on air.
Question:
(1) I noticed that the spare is a 235/65 R17. Does this sound right? Will this damage my car if I drive on it.
(2) Should I try to plug the tire or go ahead an pay for a replacement?
Thanks, I'll do that. I checked the pressure again and it is within a hair of the other tires -- 28-30 psi. It may not have penetrated. Of course, I can't tell how long it is. I'm going to pull it in the morning and just mark the place where it was. Maybe I was crying wolf! Still, appreciate the advice.
I just got this from bmwusa.com -- pretty quick turnaround -- 2-4 hours:
I am with BMW of North America, LLC and your Owners' Circle inquiry has
been forwarded to me for a response. All X5s come equipped with the
same spare tire, no matter what wheels or package are on the vehicle.
When BMW evaluated the possibility of using different spare sizes, we
found the smaller wheel to require less space, thus increasing the trunk
volume. If you should happen to need to use the spare, it will work
with your vehicle. Please let us know if there is anything else we can
help you with.
