It depends how fast you decide to let off the clutch. I can get mine going pretty quick if I want to.

my clutch is f"ked, and bogs at the line fer a sec.... so no real racing. and im not gonna bother fixin it till i drop in a new motor in the fall. besides, theres only the 1.9 in it now, racing is kinda pointless unless its against some ricer tool, where ill sadly prolly win

I cannot believe all the 0-60 times in 6.5 seconds. Please make a video and post it. I did it and I exactly hit the times given in the car manual. 0-100 in 8 seconds. Check it at my website! The quarter mile I never did yet.....

I'll agree with that. 6.5 seconds 0-60 is really fast for a stock non-M

You can get almost any car to jump off the line. What I do is I blip the gas twice and then start takeing the clutch out before teh rpms fall and mash the gas to half way, clutch comes the rest of the way out and then floor it. Works quite well. I'm sure you could do it better with dumping the clutch, but it's worse for your tires. But I've never timed the 0-60 and don't street race... or atleast not in straight line. I just auto-x.

I've found the best launch in my car is a dump at 3k or 3.5k rpms. It spins the tires a little bit sometimes, but it all stays hooked up thanks to the LSD.

If it's a manual and it's jump off the line it sounds like you're dumping the clutch as you floor the gas, but are a little slow on the gas. Rev it to 3k and let it fall a little then rev it again and dump it. I normally don't rev straight to 3k and dump it because the launch seems crappy and it seems better when you let the engine run up a little first.

I agree. You can feel the pull off the line a lot better by reving then letting it drop to about 2500 and dropping it when you reach 3000 again.
