BMW E36 choking - BMW Forum

I have a 1994 E36 - 325 is, automatic.
The car has 105000 km. Imported from Japan in February 2010.
After I got it I noticed that the engine was choking sometimes. It was doing it for a few minutes than it was fine again.
The problem now is, the engine is choking all the time.
When is on parking the engine runs perfect, no problems.
Most of the time is choking around 2500rpm....when is changing the gears.
If I press the gas pedal all the way down is choking bad and is shacking for 2-3 seconds than it speeds up.
At the same time I noticed a bed smell of gas inside the car. I put it on the hoist to check for licks but I couldn`t find anything.
If anybody experienced this problem or have an idea what is the problem please help me.

Update
I just changed the fuel filter and spark plugs.
When I was changing the spark plugs I noticed a crack in one of the coils, and I changed that coil too.
No difference. The car is the same.
Please help
