I have spent a lot of time researching how I can decode my radio. I only have an serial # F20133216A, BMW can't find code with this serial. It appears from researching, press - and prog at same time displays model, I have an BMW Alpine2 or Alpine3, the last digital shows partial, this radio common for 91-95 BMW 325i series. Further research tells me that I have jumpers and I found the model, CD ready CM5903, by researching the chip #, 51T25160W03 568, it also told me my code is 5 digit, 11111-55555. I looked and find on the board an area labeled TD 1-6, #3,4,6 are jumpered by solder. From a decoding software calculator I found, Alpine 6 links with links 3,4,6 the code should be 33515. Doesn't work... I am running out of options, any help, please. :?

If you tried more than 3 times to enter the code partially or wrongly the radio will lock up and needs to be reset.

The only way to reset the radio is leaving the electrical power on in the car with the radio on for a minimum of 1 hour.

Proceedure to reset as follows:

Connect a battery charger to the battery and put the ignition switch in POS 2 but don't start the engine. Turn the radio on. It will show "code", but don't enter the code. Leave the car under power for 1 hour minimum and the radio will reset. It will not show any indications that it has reset.

Carefully enter the code and it should be set.

If not, try it again.

If all else fails PM me, I have another proceedure that requires soldering skills.

Its been a couple of years since you wrote this but I believed you had given me the procedure and a new code if I soldered all the links but I cannot find this post. Would you be willing to get it to me again. I have lost my printed copy of this.
