Ok, just bought 1998 328is with BMW alarm installed, but don't know how to open the trunk with the remote.. the manual says you can do it, but does not mention how exactly.. I heard somewhere else in these forums that it is possible.. Any ideas? ghead

are you talking about the stock alarm system? if so, the remote does not open but merely unlocks the trunk whenever you disarm it. you will have to open it manually like 007ben said.
i however heard of some aftermarket alarm systems that allow you to put an actuator with an independent control module in the trunk and program the remote to control the module allowing you to open the trunk using one of the auxillary buttons in the remote.
