BMW 94 325i won't stay running

Hi everyone,

I was doing 65 on the highway earlier today when i noticed my car was losing speed and the check engine sign turned on. I pulled over immediately and the engine stopped running. Tried starting it again and i noticed it would start but turn off immediately in a matter seconds. I also tried jump starting the battery and no luck.

I suspect it might be something related to the fuel pump but I'm not sure. This has also happened to me another night when I had parked it somewhere, but it was pretty cold and I thought it might be related to that cause it didn't have any problems the next morning. Can this be related to the outside temp? do you guys have any ideas as to what might have caused it?
