how do you turn off alarm. its just ticking over and running the battery down

when its just ticking do you mean it wont disarm/arm?

yeah, even when driving it ticks over but i have unplugged the siren so cant hear ticking but not switched the alarm off, immobilser is working but have no idea how to turn off alarm.

There must be a short in the system. It may be necessary to replace the alarm itself.

will do but need to turn alarm off so it does not run battery down in the meantime, any ideas

If the alarm controls aren't working, there are no simple answers; if there were, the alarm wouldn't be a very good one.

its a bmw factory alarm, i was told it was the siren that needed replacing but couldnt remember wot was said bout turning the alarm off, it can be done but how? normally there is a key to do it but this model doesnt hav one so wot would be the other way
