Bmw 316 1996 SKF Bearing Nr.

well my rear wheel bearings are really starting to sound strange....went to my local parts shop and they said a pair of rear wheel bearings will go for 120$ no hub nothing only the bearings....thought that was a bit much and started to remember that i bought the bearings for my land rover directly from skf for about 30$

They refuse to give me the skf serial number.... all i found out is that:

width: 37mm
inner diameter: 39mm
outer diameter: 72mm

now that i found on some wierd swedish homepage god knows if it is right.

Would really appreciate it if someone could get me the serial number

well got myself a 2 bearings today from my local dealer.

Turns out they were FAG and not SKF

either way serial number is F-803646. RDL-G1

I will change them tomorrow and might even write my own DIY, i know there is lots out there but everybody has his own ways. creativity is the secret!!!

The serial number is for a 316 sedan 1996 years model but is probably the same on others.

there will definitly be a small add on to most DIY threads for the 316, there is quiet a few things different, plus not all cars a rust free which brings a lot of other problems (spare parts etc).
I am doing my bearings now and it took me about 2 hours to get the first one out. No special tools but a shit load of sockets.
