bluer bulbs

on e36's, do we need to get 9005 bulbs for low beams and 9006 for high beams? does this differ from h4 in some way? i want to get 5000k bulbs but i have stock headlights, is this going to work or will it look stupid? anyone got a picture?

HEy I know what are u talking about, the sylvania silverstars are the bluish bulbs u can install them direclty in ur stock headlights, but they are not HID they just give u a little bit more whitish look than ur stock yeallow bulbs, i had them on my audi a4 before and i think they are a waste of money, but they sure do look a litlle bit more whiter than the stock halogen bulbs no difference in lighting whatsoever. Well if u want real HID lighting you have to get the HID conversion kit, here is a areputbale seller, www.kaixenkits.com.

try to look for Philips Diamond Vision its 55 watts (stock wattage) and yet gives out 5000k lighting. some offer the same color intensity but are 100 watts. thus might burn the sockets of our headlights. they are most common with h7, h4 and h1 variants a good brand with a good product
