Blower Problem?

Hi
So I changed out the Final Stage Unit..(97 328is) and blower still didnt work at any speed so I have the Blower motor out now and have to replace except when I jump it to the battery it runs.. please someone tell me its an amp thing or I rustled the brushes around enough to get it to work that was a PITA !!
Please let me know where else to look if the new motor doesnt work?
Could the FSU have gotten burned out by the bad motor?
BTW does anyone know where I could look for the left side of the blower box(Whats it called?) I broke the damn little plastic tab that hold the door cable..!!

Assuming you checked all your fuses, have you checked the relay?

Ok.. So I put a test light on the wires coming from the blower
The light brightens as I up the fan and dims as I shut it down..
So I can assume the blower motor?

Yes.....when you jumped the blower motor earlier, that was a direct 12 volts, sounds like a bad motor.

Thx for the heater box diagram, it looks like I have to buy the left upper housing.. but I'll stop at the dealer and check it out.. I did epoxy it but I think Ill spend the $60.. in case the epoxy cracks its alot better than taking the damn thing apart again!!!

Ok.. so I put the new blower motor in and NOTHING!! So I checked all the fuses, and swapped the relay w/ the horn relay to see it it was the relay , no luck horn works with blower relay... I just haven't gotten to fuse 48 under dash? too damn cold here today... but could it be the climate control panel? all the lights work things see to come on and go off, the panel does make a buzzing sound even for 30 seconds after turning the car off. Could the control panel make just the blower not work, buit everything else does?
