Blower motor resistor location

I need to replace the blower motor resistor on a 1998 BMW 318ti, but am at a loss as to it's location. Some sources say under the drivers' side kick panel, some say under the dash, and yet others tell me it's beside the actual blower motor. Can you please clarify as to where this part is located before I go on a wild goose chase? I do know it is different than the 3 series sedan, but am at a loss. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find an exact answer while searching, thank you in advance.

Welcome to Bimmerwerkz......

It is located under the upper driver's side dash....it clips to the "heater box" itself.

Disregard previous post.....ti location is different.....

On ti cars the resistors are located next to the blower motor, inside the front cowl
