Black Grill

alright so if i wanna get a black grill do i need to spend 80 bucks or can i just spray paint my chrome one? and if so is there any certain spray paint. thanks

On ebay the are about $35 to $50 bucks....
I got my full chrome grill set (see sig) for about $40...and I'm pleased!

u could spray paint it... but u have to do a lot of prep work for it...

your better off doing what Del said.. go to ebay, and buy it already black!

I done mine (would show ya but I dont have a camera i can upload with) Just took 'em out, got some really fine sand paper to take away the smothness from the chrome so the undercoat had something a little better to stick to. Sprayed it black, lacquerer it, put it back in. I also sprayed the plastic grill in the bumper (standard bumper) black, and I also done the door strips, bumper strips, wing mirrors and that little-black-bit-on-the-boot-over-the-number-plate the same colour as the car, more than happy with the results.
Best thing I can suggest is go get a second hand one, a can of primer, black, and lacquerer and give it a go yourself. IMO an easy job, i've never sprayed anything before and I colour coded my whole car!

just paint urs black with spray paint. its pretty much what they do on ebay anyways. sand it down with 600grit then 1000 grit. and then prime. and paint. let it dry. and your done. if u have a can of black spray paint around it will cost u like 2 dollars for the sandpaper. if not, its only like 10 bux for all this

I painted mine... cost me 5 bucks for the can with that krylon fusion paint.. worked great...

I painted mine too, not really any work involved. Just wipe the grill down with some cleaner before you paint.
