| I done mine (would show ya but I dont have a camera i can upload with) Just took 'em out, got some really fine sand paper to take away the smothness from the chrome so the undercoat had something a little better to stick to. Sprayed it black, lacquerer it, put it back in. I also sprayed the plastic grill in the bumper (standard bumper) black, and I also done the door strips, bumper strips, wing mirrors and that little-black-bit-on-the-boot-over-the-number-plate the same colour as the car, more than happy with the results.
Best thing I can suggest is go get a second hand one, a can of primer, black, and lacquerer and give it a go yourself. IMO an easy job, i've never sprayed anything before and I colour coded my whole car!
