| Gentlemen, (1997 318i)
I was driving today in the freeway, and all of the sudden I smelt something burning and white smoke came out underneath the car ('cause I looked in the rear view mirror thinking that was the car behind me). Temperature gauge was ok, and the car was driving ok, when I got home I opened the hood and noticed that the a/c compressor belt was broker, I pulled out what was left of it. I checked my owners manual and it appears that is the a/c compressor belt. Can I still drive my vehicle? Is the a/c compressor burned out?. How difficult it is to change the belt? How much is it to replace it at the mechanic?
Before this happened, I was having problems with my a/c, it will turned on and off automatically, and when it turned off, cool air was still coming out.
PLEASE HELP, |
