I bought some clear parking markers from bavauto a while ago, and had nothing but problems.
The installation was easy, they snapped right in and upon checking with a flashlight, ensured they are installed and snapped in correctly. After a week or two, one of the started falling out when I did any hard handling. I looked at it and realized it just slid out now... the clip was bent (I'm guessing due to the engine heat). I sent it back to bavauto on rma with no problem and my new one was installed and stays in without problem.
However, today I was driving along and my OTHER parking marker fell out. Same problem. Is it a defect in these type of parking markers, or what? I'm about ready to get some duct-tape and tape the clamp on the inside of the car so they won't pull out, as horrible of a hack as that is. Has anyone else had this problem? Does Bavauto just sell low quality clear parking markers?
I know on the e46 there is a screw to hold them in which would completely eliminate this problem, but of course on the e36 they aren't that smart and just have a small piece of plastic that snaps in.
I actually had the same problem with my smoked bavarian autosport corners. i'd just be driving along and the thing would just pop out and be hanging there after about a week on my car. The problem is the corner lights themselves. I called bavarian autosport and they told me its a common problem with ONE of the two companies that make the corners for them. ( i guess they have two seperate companies that make them). Bavarian autosport was very good in sending me a new pair from the OTHER Company. I put them in about a 2 months ago and never had a problem. Call and ask for replacements :P

Hum, I'll give them a call tomorrow and ask about the 2nd company. Thanks.

But see, I've already RMA'd once... it's the trouble I don't want to go through.
I had the same problem with the cheapos I bought on ebay... I just kept bending the clip and messing with it till it stayed in...only happened on one side...I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money on the ones from Bavauto seeing as the same thing happened...
I must have gotten lucky...for once! Got smoked corners from bavauto.com and have worked perfectly. Had them for a couple of months prior to adding the eyelids (which now holds them firmly in place). I think I remember the guy who helped me mention something about this. He was very knowledgeable on the e36 cars and sent me his card upon request. I'll get you his name when I get home, I'm sure he can help you sort this out. Some of the operators may not be aware of the two companies that supply the markers...
*EDIT: The guy's name is Alan Pierce, and his extention is 1242. He seemed very knowledgeable and friendly.
