batterry drained

I HAVE A 1987 325e, something is draining my battery overnight, how do i isolate where the electrical discharged is coming from using a volt meter, thanks

You can use a 12 volt test light also, disconnect your negative battery cable & place the test light between the end of the neg. cable & body ground....if it lights, you have a short.....now with the test light lit start pulling fuses until the light goes out, indentify the fuse location....

i had an issue where my remote wire and power wire on my amp crossed and drained it overnite thats if you have subs also check your glovebox light , trunk, hood etc jsut because theres no bulb it still gets power also try pulling cig lighter fuse thats always on thought
