When I am playing my mad beats in my car, my subs are making the back shelf vibrate. It sounds like a blown speaker, but it's not, although it's really that annoying. I wanted to see if you guys have any ideas about how to fix it, besides putting some 30 pound weights on top of it....
I just reassembled my backseat after leaving it out for a few weeks. Rather than dynamat the rear shelf, I think the best place to put the dynamat is actually on the metal in the trunk near the sub. My biggest rattle turned out to be a loose section of my box, but the rear deck has its own issues. When I took mine out, I found two strips of something that was probably sound deadening gunk that came loose and was rattling against the board. Looked factory, so you probably have them too. good luck.

Not to hijack your thread... but speaking of the rear shelf... all the ones i've seen look kind of "blueish". did they come like this or is this just what the sun B) does to them?

Mine sure dosent. Probably the glass tinting everything blue.
Mine is supposed to be that sand color to match the leather, but over the years it is becoming much lighter. Also, what do you guys do about liscense plate vibration?
I have the most ghetto rigged antirattle plate ever. Basically, I used a self adhesive foam around the plate frame, then backed the mounting points with more foam. Works well enough, and not noticeable at all. The best thing to do though is to get the dynamat plate thing.
