Well, my car has been in the shop for over a week now, and they finally got to it. I call them later in the day and they say my rear right axle is screwed. They ordered a new one for $150, it should get in tonight or tomorrow. So I'll finally get my car back, but it's gonna cost me around $600! I don't know about you but, i can't just throw around $600 bucks. But i guess that's what i get for trying to fix my wheel bearing myself. I guess it was fine before, and I was doing something very wrong when trying to get the hub off, so I screwed it up. Damn, this sucks. But i miss my car so much i'll pay anything to have it back and running again. ghead This is turning out to be a pretty shitty month. Anyways, i just wanted to vent, this sucks.
thats because hondas dont have to go to the shop, i owned 3 before i bought the bimmer and ive spent more money in maintenance on this one car than i did on all 3 hondas put together, not once did anything ever mess up on my hondas, so dont go around talking smack on hondas when i think overall they are better cars anyways

hei dude i rolled over 6 times my bimmer and i got out of it with not even one scrach 'cause i drive a friking BMW.
Thanks God send me to this world with god teaste 'cause i didn't end up like a sardine in a honda.
That is why you should keep spending money and I should keep driving'em.
cause i like the way the bmw drive, so smooth and precise, hondas are all over the road cause they are so light and the steering is really touchy, dont get me wrong i love my bimmer, but i dont like it when people dog hondas, FYI my friend has a hatchback with 200 grand in it, 960 hp on 45lbs of boost, if you read superstreet its the red one with flames, owned by chuch seitsinger, they are out of oklahoma city, and no sponsor, after this race season he will have one and its has to be repainted, he goes through 4 trannys a weekend
Man is this a strange thread. Couple of the posts...I swear I don't know what the person is saying.
Oh, by the way, too bad about your axle. I think we've all tried to fix something on our own before and it ended up costing us more to have it fixed...that is what this thread is about isn't it?

yes thank you, i wasn't intending for this thread to end up talking about fast hondas. Wrong place for that. And thank you teg, i wasn't the one getting defensive about hondas, that was someone else. But i am a little suspicious as to why they replaced my rotor without any consent to me, cuase when i brought it in there, the rotor was fine. I'm thinking maybe they broke it trying to get the hub off. grrrr... i'll have to look into that. But all in all, it's so good to have my car back, no matter what the cost.
What you don't pay for in occasional expensive repairs, you pay for in envy and all sorts of expensive upgrades... Have owned Toyota, Hondas, VW, Volvo, now Beemer and Volvo. So you pay a couple hundred every now and then for a new axle b/c you screw it up (been there done that on a honda crx si btw). That's car ownership.
Glad to hear you got the ride back on track!
Cheers, it's Friday y"all

yeeeeaah, great, ummm, how bout we talk about hondas and toyotas somewhere else. Not to be stupid or anything, but you can PM someone about others cars whenever you like. anyways, i'm confused of how my cv joints could completely sieze like they did? Could torqueing on a hub puller kit do that???
