I spent about 3 hours today talking to bmw specialist's including bill arnold's bmw repair in ca which is like one of the worlds most famous bmw shops and he told me all I need to do is strip the 97 m3 motor down and use all that I can from my current motor and change the eprom and I'm set. I have to change it to a 95 m3 chip or after market chip and it'll work fine. don't need any ews, wiring harness or intake manifold or ecu. this just got a lot easier...

hardest thing is going to be closing up the old o2 sensors holes

just stick old o2 sensors in them.

They are necessary for the yearly (or 2 yearly) car test. I mean, the engine can't regulate the o2 without these things. Don't let them off.

he is going to have extra after the ODBI conversion leaving 2-3 extra. He will keep the one(s) nessary for ODBI and keeping the engine running well.

Right. and that means his stock exhaust has something like 4. so thats 3 extra holes to plug....

that is all.

stripping the motor down to what bill arnold called a 32 long block and I'm using most of all my old parts to do the conversion
