I would think that a supercharger would be best for an automatic since the power is always there. Also you wont have to worry about spooling up the turbo with an automatic.

I would disagree, turbo and automatics are a good combo as long as the auto can handle the extra power.

just like a lot of the auto wrx's they have no problem spooling

You can do either one, just get a supercharger though, you don't have to worry about spooling up, the power is right there at the pedal...
