| I change it every 2 years. However, if there isn't anything wrong you don't really need to change it.
It's quite a messy job. The fill hole is located under the car behind the oil pan. It sits perpendicular to the ground which means you can't simply pour it into the fill hole. You need a pump to pump the fluid from the bottle into the fill hole. You must also jack the car up. It uses 1.5L of ATF, I use Mobil 1 Syn. Personally, after doing this myself quite a few times, I'd just pay the $30 and let a shop do it.
