Automatic Lock - BMW Forum

I'm a newbie to this forum. As with most people I love my BMW! I have a 1998 328I. I have seen friends that had a modification made to automatically lock the vehicle when you start. Does anybody know how to do it or where I can find a step by step How-to?

My M3 does that. I'm pretty sure it's an option in the car's computer, and I'm also pretty sure you have to have the dealer change that option.

O man, I would never want that... I'd probably start the car one day when its cold, get out to let it warm up, and then i'd be locked out! Leave it how it is man!

That option is in all new toyota's its really annoying. BTW I never lock my doors, no need.

It's set up so that you can't lock yourself out...at least I've never managed to do it.
