My 92 325i has only one window that will go up and down automatically, you know, one push and its on the front driver side. I was wondering if it was possible to make it so that all of them go up autmatically. What would I need to do?
this is neat. since all the window switches have the same connecter, go to the bmw dealer, and buy ALL driver window switches.. and the auto down and up is actually in the switch, not in the car.. u can even use this for ur sunroof
Switches are not the same at all. The passenger windows all use a momentary switch which is why you have to press and hold it. The driver's side has a completely different set up with a dual stage switch. The connector is also different. The rear passenger window switches and connectors are completely differen't than the ones in the front.
I was considering this myself but the wiring looks a bit tricky being that there's different colored wires going to the other switches besides the driver's. And they appear to be a different wire all together. You could try it if you're handy with wiring. But those switches are not cheap so don't screw up.
If anything, it would only be worth it for the passenger window.
And the sunroof needs to be completely rewired as well complete with new motor to be one-touch open.
