The Auto/manual Switch What Is It????

in the automatics like mine there is an auto/ manual switch that says a and m. what is it for and how do you use it

When you press M (which I'm guessing is Manual) it makes it so you have full control, such as...from a stop, you can put it in D (forth gear) and it will actually take off in 4th gear. Just gives u full control without it auto downshifting. **NOTE** I dont recommend starting in 4th gear

ok... when i thought u had it in Manual switch it didnt use 4th gear..
Thought it maxed out at 3rd, for towing....

There was a definitive guide to this posted earlier, but I'm too lazy to find it. Also, if you keep it in "A" and move the shifter to the "3" position (4 in auto 5 gear gearboxes), you enter sportsmode. In some Autos, I'm not sure which, you can just press the "S" button to enter sportsmode.
Sportsmode means higher shiftpoints, and a much more aggressive throttle. Enjoy.
