Auto To Manual Swap

If any of you out there have done this, what kind of problems did you run into? Total cost? Final results? I checked the forum using search but there was not much there. I am looking for some really good info on this. Also, I have checked out Zionsville, but they did not give out much info on the actual swap.

Swapping ur 1998 318i to manual is proberly worth the total of ur car. Sell your car and with the money you were going to do a manual job get a 325i or a 328i

I'ved looked into it, I want a manual, I want a swap, but the price is redicalus.

I found only one person here that was successful and he did it for 2500. If I were planning on keeping the car for eternity that would be ok, but I eventually want to get an e46. Thanks though.
