hey everyone , there has been an increase in computer damage lately due to washing your cars, please be very carefull when washing, (ya ya it sounds stupid, but i wont be when you have to fork out the money to get it replaced or fixed)

precautions should be..... to be carefull and not concentrate that heavily on the front passanger quater panel closer to the windshield, try to hand wash if possible, and if possible check and re-tighten the rubber pannel protecting the ECU, its been heard that some people actually put an extra layer in behind the rubber wall to decrease the chances of this occuring.

soldmygm is an unknown quantity at this point
i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for someone without a garage or underground parking to wash and wax a car. aside from taking into a detailer and lettign them do it, i'd like to get some wax on there before it's too cold, but things aren't working for me. it's too dark or raining and i dont' have access to a garage.
i'm tempted to fidn a mall parking lot in desparation and wax the car there, the ridicule might be unbearable tho.
I can understand why we might not want to feed our cars to the car wash, but i'm curious to see if anyones has some creative way's around it. is there such a thing as a rent a warm lit spot for a day? (in toronto)
