I notice when sitting at a stoplight or stop sign, the car will just rev by itself. Not like high, but under 1000 it just goes up and down. Sometimes it will stop, but most of the time it will do it. Is this normal, or is this something that needs to be fixed?

replaced my CMP sensor (camshaft position sensor) and it has smooth out my idle...it used to bounce for a few seconds at lights...it's a real easy fix, but your service light should come on if its the CMP
When the idle moves up/down when you are at the lights, this is actually called 'hunting'.. This could be happening due to numerous reasons, the manual idle adjuster may be out of placement, an exhaust leak etc.
