Anyone removed motor/tranny together from top???

I need to know if it's possible to remove the motor/tranny as one assembly from the top past the subframe?

I'm trying to remove the Auto trans first but have an incredibly tight torx bolt that is impossible to remove so far and may need to remove the engine.tranny together.

hey i'm looking into doing a tranny swap also. Tell me more about it, is it worth all the work? And how much $ will need to go into it?

Thanks for the reply...The reason for pulling eng/tranny together is only because 1 of the torx bolts at tranny is tighter than my impcat gun can remove.

So, if you have any ideas on the hard to remove torx bolt then I'm listening.

PB Blaster. Go pick some up from your local hardware store and spray it on there. Then get the longest wrench you can fit in there and turn the sucker out. If need be use a large for more leverage. If it's a tight space you might only be able to move a tiny bit. But once it's lose you can put the impact wrench on it.
