Sup Everyone? Has anyone purchased anything from bmwm398 before? Just wondering. I sent him a money order for rim about a month ago and he still tells me he hasn't got it? Anyone know how long it usually takes for a money order from the west coast to get to the east coast (US)?? He seems like a trustworthy guy and has okay reply. Just curious?? Some one please help...

I don't mean to further alarm you, but, in expressing my personal view, it doesn't look good.

You'd be hard pressed to find me consider buying from anyone without a long history here for too long, much less a first-poster (not to say that a long history necessarily means much either). The guy in question's full post history of 6, here, was all done on the day of registration and were all sale propositions, most of which expressed an urgency. He hasn't posted at all since then-- not even further sale offers. In the context of you post of concern, it would seem to me that he wanted to get as many transactions started, simultaneously, as possible so that neither buyer would have any other instance to refer to until it was too late.

In addition, a recent snafoo in which my grandmother had money stolen en route to our mailbox, lead to me finding out that even sending mail from here (Miami, FL) to the Lesser Antilles (the trail of islands including Barbados and Trinidad on the eastern end of the Caribbean) only takes two weeks, max. In contrast, I'd think thirty days is a little long for mail (ground or not) to make it from coast to coast.

Again, I don't mean to sound as if I can authoratatively tell you what anyones intentions are, as I can't, but if anything were to smell fishy, this would.

Just how do money orders work, anyway? Still don't know how all those payment options function (cashier's checks, bank drafts and whatnot).

Best of wishes,
Corey

Money Orders are actually good way to send money, as long as it is a postal money order and you filled out who is cashing it. Bank MOs don't offer any sender protection. If the guy cashed it, and doesn't send you the goods, its mail fraud. You can find out its status by giong to Post Office and telling the guy what has happened. He can advise you better from there. make sure you still have the top slip of the MO so it can be tracked.

yeah... im with pres, I thought MOs were a good way to do business for both the buyer and the seller.. except for the whole costing $5 to get one.

Go back to the place where you bought the money order from and ask to see if it has been cashed.... THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRACK THIS INFORMATION...

Good luck dude...

thanks for the reply everyone. Yea I got the MO from the post office and already did the tracking stuff but it will take a while for the reply to come back which really sucks. that bmwm398 guy still replies back to me through email but I don't know what the hell is up anymore. I also know for damn sure it should only take a week or two for mail to get from the west to the east coast.
