Any one know the cranking amps on battery - BMW Forum

After weeks of trying to figure out whats wrong with my car we finally found out that the battery is the wrong kind. the Idiot I bought it from had a marine battery in it. Does any one know what the cranking amps of the 325is should be and whats the best battery I can get for this car. Any suggestions would be help. I have a system and 3lcd's in the car. thanks.

I would think you would shoot for at least 700 cca. If you have a demmanding audio system, I would opt for an Optima gel cell. I've had a few yellow tops, and they have served me well. When it comes time to replace mine, I'll buy another. The e36's cargo bay should be accomocating enough for one no problem. The beauty of these are that they have plenty of juice (850cca) and have seperate side mounted terminals for Amp leads.
