| Ebay also has guys who sell their "services" to actually repair the AC units. That is a VERY common problem among e36 BMWs. It happened to me, but I just bought a used ac unit off of ebay for $160 shipped. Supposedly they are really good at the repairs because the couple guys I saw that repair them are supposedly electronics experts. The feedback is very good for these guys and its a much cheaper alternative. You have to take the AC unit out yourself and mail to him, but the turn around is supposed to be under a week...very worth it IMO...
