Another Prob! Brights Dont Work!

ok sorry for another post but my brights dont work! I cant figure out whats wrong with them. Could it be a fuse. The little blue lights that indicate the brights are on appear on the dashboard, but the brights wont come on .

so what parts will i need and where is the fuse box. 1996 328is.

if your blue high beam light comes on inside, its most likely either a fuse, or both (ironically) bulbs blew!
check the fuses first. assuming ur in the US, you would go under the hood, towards the driver side and close to the window. you will see a black box in the corner, with clips on the side. just unclip and check the fuses corresponding to the high beams. i believe there are two seperate. one for each side. i luv BMW's fuses. you can check which ones are blown looking right at the top. so see which fuse isnt well, connected. good luck!!

ok all the fuses are okay.. None of them were burned.. so does this mean its the bulbs that went out?? or what? how hard is it to take them out and check, and DIY threads on this??

Its not hard... go to the front of your car... locate your bulbs from the ouside... then stick your hand directly behind that bulb... you will either feel it.. or see it.. then turn it... and it will pull right out.. nothing complicated about it... then look at the filiment and see if that sucker is burnt up..

I use to have my low beams blow all the time.. and the problem was a grounding of my fog lights... so maybe if your having a grounding problem.. both might blow because they are on the same circuit...

yeah turn on your headlights see that your low beams are on the outside lights, there for take out the inside bulbs if they are burnt out change them if its not the bulbs, which it should be then we will talk
