sorry if this is a stupid question, but would a dinan chip really make a difference on my 94 318i? is it worth it?
I'm sure it would be noticeable. I've read where the Dinan makes it's power up high in the rev range. You probably wouldn't see any difference down low. At least that is the way it's supposed to be on the 6's. Not sure about the 4 cylinder. The Jim Conforti chip sold by Turner Motor Sports is supposed to be a better all around chip. Don't expect great gains, on the 6 it's about 20 more hp at the crank. Mainly it removes the speed limiter and raises the redline to 7000 rpms.

i see, thanks for the input, yea id get a legit dinan off there site, as for doing it at the end, im not really looking to mod my car too much
hey, yea I am considering buying a chip very soon for my 325is. I have decided to go with TMS Chip due to the good price, more HP gains, and better all around power (so I've heard). Although I am a BIG Dinan fan, I gotta do TMS for this. Plus TMS chip can be customized if you got an intake, exhaust, etc.
