For the ambient temp sensor

I dont have the ambient outside temperature sensor and its missing the plug and the sensor it has 2 wires sticking out of it and they are just hanging out, looks like somebody just pulled the sensor out with the harness, and i didnt know that i already orderered the sensor, is there anyway i can plug the wires in to the sensor without the harnedd, like connect the wire points to directly to the sensor, can this work, any help is appreciated.

it shuold work... the harness is simply there to hold the sensor on, there is no fuses or resistors in the harness so its job is basiclly to hold the sensor on and keep a good connection... if i were you though i would goto a salvage yard and just yank a sensor off a scrapped bimmer...
