amber bulbs

Hello all,

I am looking to get amber bulbs for my clear corners on my 99 318ti. I can not seem to find the ones I need anywhere. Am I looking for the wrong part number? I have been trying to find 5007 or 7528. None of the autopart stores by me seem to have them in amber. I can only find the white. Do the ambers have a different number or does anyone know where I can find what I am looking for? ghead

They must be out of them or something. I see them everywhere. Even Wolly-Mart got them!

i am going by the sylvania bulb numbers. should I be looking for something different? My walmart and pepboys did not have them and did my local mom and pop parts store.

5007 I think. Check Sylvania.

yeah thats where I got the numbers from. none of the stores aroud me have those in amber.

I had the same issue when switching to clear corners. The only place I found them was at BMW. They were around 10 bucks for both with tax. Just make sure you don't let them tell you that you need all kinds of other parts (ie: a new socket) for them to work in your car like they tried to tell me. Autozone, pepboys, and such only sell the clear ones. Goodluck!

I bought mine at Autozone. But they weren't Sylvania. Some other brand. Work fine.

i just found this cross ref for auto bulbs

1157- 1154, 2057, 2357, 2397, 3497, 1016, 1034, 7528

1156- 1073, 1093, 1129, 1141, 1159, 1259, 1459, 1619, 1651, 1680, 3496,5007, 5008, 7506, 7527




does this mean i can use 1157 and 1156 when the Sylvania says i need 7528--or 5007

i used 1157 in mine. works fine.

went out today and bought 1157's spayed them wth a little silver paint and we are a done deal --thanks all
