Question

How can you tell what amp/watt is your alternator? I have a 93 325is with A/C Power/heated seats, power windows/mirrors and a stock cd changer. i dont tknow what its wattage is, it is making a high pich whinning sound, so i bought a 105 amp alternator... Is getting a higher wattage alternator a good thing or bad thig? what could i expect from a higher wattage alternator? more/less ignition performance? will it effect the spark of my plugs? any info will be helpful

Thanks!
Ben

It's better for supply the electrical power that is need, but it takes some extra HP from your engine. Mine is ~90 Amps I think.
