alternator whining...

does anyone know where to get a rebuild kit?

Do you have an aftermarket stereo by any chance? I know this might not seem like a relevant question but if you have outboard amplifiers and you get a whining sound through the speakers at high revs chances are you didn't ground everything properly.

Other than that, alternators are fairly common to find/replace. Just search it through google and you'll find tons of places that sell them.

Yes i do have an aftermarket system, but the whining sound is not from my speakers it is from the alternator and i know this for sure that is why i'm in need of a alternator rebuild kit and yes i have been looking all over and can't find one.

I don't know of any rebuild kits and I only asked you about the whining coming through the speakers because I had the same problem. Anyways, I've never seen a rebuild kit for a an alternator but I did find thisClick Here. Seems to be reasonable.
