dalylaleahthor n00b Join Date: Nov 2008 Car: Posts: 4 Photos:	Alternator Change Hi, My alternator went out. I'd already bought the alternator and was wondering if I needed any special tools. I'm know the basics about fixing and maintaining a car but have never done an alternator let alone one on a BMW. If anybody can list the tools require to take off the alternator please help. I know that I have to take off the air box but thats about it. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED. Thanks A Million.

It is a very straightforward job. No special tools required, just metric wrenches/ratchet.
