alternator

It was raining yesterday and my battery light was on but was not completely bright. Flickering somewhat but never completely bright.

Today I started my car and the light was off and everything seems to be working but it happened again before I got home.

Check my battery, its is ok. Its only a about 6 months old.

Checked my alternator connects on the back and they are clean. Seen two connections. Might be a third?

I then tapped the alternator with a wrench and the light went out.

What do you think, alternator going bad, or just a corrupted connection?

Could be a bad connection , but I would try the belt 1st.....

Throw a volt meter on the alternator...it should be pushing out 14V. You could have had a sticking brush.
